Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) on Al Maryah Island is the financial free zone equivalent of DIFC in Dubai. Many DIFC-registered firms have affiliated entities or regulatory relationships with ADGM. The most efficient arrangement for DIFC-based professionals attending ADGM meetings:
- Depart DIFC / Gate Building area 7:00-7:15am for a 9am ADGM meeting
- Driver drops at the ADGM parking approach or designated drop zone
- Driver waits at or near ADGM (parking available nearby) for the duration of meetings
- WhatsApp the driver 15-20 minutes before meeting end for pickup coordination
- Return to Dubai confirms on completion - rate covers both directions plus waiting
Why Not Take the Inter-Emirates Bus?
The E100/E101 intercity bus between Dubai and Abu Dhabi runs frequently (approximately every 20-30 minutes from Oud Metha or Union bus stations) at AED 25-35 per person. For a single business traveller with minimal luggage and a meeting in Abu Dhabi city centre, the bus is an economical option. The private driver makes sense when: travelling in a group (2+ people), carrying luggage or equipment, travelling to Yas/Saadiyat (not served by the direct bus route), or when a taxi/Careem supplement from the Abu Dhabi bus terminal to the actual meeting location is needed anyway.
